The Space Between Dreams
A narrative feature film created by adding 15 seconds every day for 365 days. Follow filmmaker Scotty Leonard through daily routines, chaotic daydreams, talking cats and the horrors of underground filmmaking.
Scotty Leonard is a 27-year-old underground filmmaker who was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from UNM and works in the our film industry. In his spare time, he makes underground and experimental cinema with his friends at the @lilyellowtags collective. He produced FLOWER HOUR with them, and has several more pieces of folk filmmaking in the works.

Making Space
This project is a deeply independent production created by one man with no money.
It stars friends and family and nobody else.
Music was supplied by a variety of local artists as well as a variety of underground musicians from across the world.

Chasing Dreamscapes
This unconventional approach to narrative filmmaking allowed for far more experimentation and creativity in the filmmaking process.
Imagery was created from what was seen on the day, and the story was written gradually, with plans shifting based on the filmmaker’s own life changing.
While this led to chaotic filmmaking, his 15 years of filmmaking experience helped him to pull the project into one cohesive experience.
